Day 1: To give Maiduguri a facelift after the insurgency, His Excellency Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso paid a two days visit to Borno State for flagged off a Kwankwasiyya Model City - a modern re-generation project to modernize the city. In its bid to reduce housing problem in Borno state, the Senator arrived Maiduguri International Airport on Saturday 24th September, 2017 and he was welcome by Attom Magira Tom Sarkin Yaki of Kwankwasiyya Movement of Nigeria.
Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso under the administration of Gov. Kashim Shettima are to construct a befitting Housing Estate known as the Kwankwasiyya Model City. The first phase of the project which is about to flagged off is 370 Modern House Unit and will be commissioned in no distant time after which the second phase will be flagged off.
The first phase of the Kwankwasiyya Model City project consists of 37 Blocks of 10 units of 3 bedroom apartments situated along Maiduguri to Gamboru -Ngala Road opposite the Muna Motor Park.
