Zazzau emirate warns against anti-el-Rufa’i protest in Kaduna

The Zazzau Emirate Council, Zaria has urged youths not to protest against Kaduna state governor Nasiru el-Rufa’i, over his alleged involvement in the embarrassment of the emir, Alhaji Shehu Idris, at the commissioning of Olam Hatchery and Mill factory.

Alhaji Idris was denied access to the venue of the commissioning ceremony by security operatives, the episode that led to the rumour going round in the social media that el-Rufa’i was behind the action of the operatives and therefore youths and other admirers of the emir were being called to converge on Kofar Doka, Zaria for protest this Friday.
A statement released yesterday by Galadiman Zazzau, Alhaji Nuhu Aliyu, advised youths and other residents not to indulge in any act that would lead to disruption of peace.
“In line with religious injunctions that frown and curse those that initiate disruption of peace, the Emirate advises all and sundry to pray for the leaders of the country instead of protest. Zazzau Emirate, Kaduna state and Nigeria at large need peace.
“We should therefore do everything within our power to ensure that we continue to live in peace and harmony,” the statement said.
